After a long and tiresome late afternoon at Kings Trail Cowboy Church, we were about done for the day...but God wasn't! A pretty good-sized crowd was eagerly awaiting us at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Leonard, Texas that evening.
They gave us the pulpit at 6 pm. It was a great opportunity to share AIM – the story, vision and strategy - with the wonderful folks there. An hour and fifteen minutes later, not a single person had moved from their seats. Very unusual for an evening worship to go that long.
Evidently, the Spirit of God was working in their hearts. You could see a hunger in them for something GOD-SIZED! People were visibly moved.
After the meeting people came up and shared how inspired and challenged they were at what God is doing. Providentially, their pastor, Brian Hawkins had preached a sermon on "the call of duty to missions" that morning in their Sunday worship. WOW!
They are now seeking God's direction to partner with AIM in the long-term.
Praise God for Pastor Brian and Valley Creek Baptist Church!
